Rules of Education – Saskatoon Videography Engagement Film

Leslie and Derek are middle-school teachers from Saskatchewan. This short film was created with them as a ‘teaser’ to their wedding in 2012 by Creative Wedding Videographers, http://sicafilms.ca

L+D are the coolest people, and Newtonian Theory tells us they are awesome teachers too. We were so fortunate to be able to make this short film with them, and we had a blast filming their wedding.

The teacher’s lecture was an unbelievable single take. He droned on for over 10 minutes, while we tried our absolute best to hold back from laughter, just behind the cameras. He finally cracked when we couldn’t contain it anymore, tears rolling down our cheeks.

Restyle the Dress – A Saskatoon Wedding Fashion Collaboration

“Instead of trashing the dress, restyle the dress!” This styled photo-shoot was dreamt up by a group of talented wedding professionals from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Prairie winter upon us, we couldn’t have picked a colder day to convince our models to rock their wedding dresses bare-armed. We had to put together a video to show the craziness behind the incredible photos. [View the photos].

Even though most weddings are planned around the summer, many brides don’t let winter stop them. In the middle of Canada where winter reigns half the year, brides can have the most beautiful images possible, with a little creativity.

And these amazing photos are only possibly because of collaboration with some awesome people – Check them out!

Nicolene & Ryan – Saskatoon Wedding Videography

It was all going so smoothly, until the car broke down.

Nicolene and Ryan’s wedding day had so much goodness, we had a hard time editing any out. This highlight film has it all: Getting ready, the ceremony, fixing the ‘broken down’ Cadillac, and their nephew Shae busting a move on the dance floor before Ryan’s band rocked the night away.

~ 22 minute Feature Film.

Lorrie + JR / World’s Moving Backwards

Lorrie and JR’s wedding day was a dream. The city was alive, fall was in the air, Broadway was bustling from the annual street fair… and these two were cruising around in the back seat of a restored 1929 Ford.

We met on Broadway Avenue before their wedding, and setting up our cameras and explained we were trying a time-lapse, in front of the bus stop. For some, the first time in front of a camera can be intimidating, but Lorrie and JR surprised us by forgetting we were there instantly.

That’s what this film is about: taking the moments to forget about the world around you and just stare into each other’s eyes. Lorrie and JR were doing that all day long.

We were honoured to work alongside photographer Mandy Harding – many thanks to her for collaborating with us all day long – memoriesbymandy.ca

Romántica Todo el Mundo

A trip around the globe… Cabo San Lucas, Tokyo, Paris; Can David earn Iza’s affections?

“Romantic Worldwide” was put together for an incredible couple from Regina, Canada. A combination of ideas and inspiration, along with cooperation from some great businesses around Saskatchewan, resulted in an incredibly epic film that wowed David and Iza’s family and guests at a surprise wedding reception screening.

Varied culture and language are a huge part of their families, and David and Iza wanted a film that conveyed the beauty in such multicultural roots – Mexico, Quebec, Saskatchewan… and a love of travel.
